Education
Graduate of the MEDes programme in 2007, an innovative degree programme started at the Glasgow School of Art in partnership with other top design education institutions in Helsinki, Köln, Milan, Paris, Stockholm and Stuttgart.
Having spent two core years at the Product Design department at GSA, separate years of placements were taken, firstly in the Industrial Design department at ABK Stuttgart, and secondly in the Strategic and Industrial Design department at TaiK, Helsinki, before returning to Glasgow for a fifth and final year of study.
The difference of focus and design direction at each institution has resulted in the development of a broad skill-set, from CAD modelling to user-research, with a rich and varied body of work to match. As such, my interests in design are not isolated to only products, but is inclusive of all creative processes.
