Franki has a Franki party for her birthday. I wasn’t very good.
The barbecue was a couple of days after. I’m not sure anyone did eat the lonesome sausage in the end.
A visit to Jenny’s home town. We play probably the worst game of 20 questions ever. “Is it lichen?”, “No Simon, it’s not lichen”.
Off to Stuttgart in search for a place to stay for the upcoming MEDes placement. Needing to say, it fails.
We return to Arran for a final hoo-ha before the year group splits and people go gallivanting around the world. Not quite as eventful for me as the first time, but good fun and frolics none the less.
For some reason, me and Franki decided that it would be a good idea to go to Edinburgh Zoo. And it was.
A glorious day in the sun, sitting in the Botanical Gardens listening to live music by Belle and Sebastian, Camera Obscura and The Trashcan Sinatras as part of the West End Fesitval. To top it all off, it was free!
My first MEDes workshop, hosted this year in Helsinki by the wonderful TaiK. The theme was something to do with lakes and some sort of floating contraption.
The traditional second year jaunt down to London to visit some design studios, miscellaneous tourist traps and have a general carry on. We visted the likes of IDEO, Priestman Goode, SeymourPowell , Imagination and therefore.
Ah, the joys of matriculation, 30min of queuing and a days worth of drinking.
A wee trip to visit Franki down in Leeds. We take the scenic route down (read: got on the wrong train…) with a lovely wait at Carlisle. Graham makes a one-eyed monster and we all built Pete
